Our Teeth Whitening Treatment Overview
Teeth whitening treatments have become increasingly popular during the last few years. There are several reasons why many are choosing to whiten their teeth. Some of the reasons are because of an upcoming event, a job interview, aging, to boost self-confident or tooth discoloration. Whatever your reason might be, our dentist will provide you with several treatment options, so visit us to determine which one would be great for you.
This guide will help you understand the benefits of our teeth cleanings and what to expect when having them performed by our dentist.
Take-Home Whitening Trays
Take-home whitening trays are a type of teeth whitening procedure that you can perform in the comfort of your home. This is an easy and cost-effective teeth whitening treatment that can be easily obtained. You must follow the instructions given by our dentist to see the results at home. Although they can be a convenient option, obtaining great results can take longer than other treatments, and they don’t always work well for deep stains. These trays are custom-made to go over your teeth and whiten your teeth through a special gel that is found on the inside of the trays.
Zoom in-office treatment
The Zoom teeth whitening kit consists of a hydrogen peroxide gel and a lamp that delivers UV light. The hydrogen peroxide gel is first applied to the patient’s teeth. The purpose of the UV light is to break down the activated gel, allowing oxygen to enter the enamel. The oxygen then bleaches the yellow surface of your teeth, resulting in a whiter smile.
BriteSmile In-Office Whitening
The BriteSmile in-office whitening system uses a hydrogen peroxide mixture and the power of “cool blue” LED light to whiten your teeth up to eight shades lighter. First, the gum line is protected with an application of vitamin E. Then, the whitening gel is applied to the surface of the teeth. The gel is exposed to the LED light, and this accelerates the whitening process of the teeth. This procedure is safe and won’t cause damage to your teeth. Also, if you are worry about teeth sensitivity due to the procedure, we can adjust the concentration of the hydrogen peroxide gel.
